Australian Apprenticeships Access Program
The Australian Apprenticeship Access Program can assist you if you are experiencing difficulties getting skilled employment due to personal circumstances. The Australian Apprenticeship Access Program is an Australian Government funded program and is free for eligible job seekers.
The Australian Apprenticeship Access Program looks at what you need to help you get an Australian Apprenticeship while building up your work skills, including searching for jobs. You will be provided with training and support to help you get an Australian Apprenticeship.
In particular, the Australian Apprenticeship Access Program will:
- help you work out what you need so that you are 'job ready'
- train you in the basic skills for the industry you are interested in;
- support you while you look for work, for example, help writing your resume and preparing for interviews
- help you settle into the first 13 weeks of an Australian Apprenticeship or employment
- provide advice and moral support to keep you on track if things get tough while you are looking for work.
