Assessment and Support

Workplace Adjustment Tool
The workplace adjustment tool allows you to search for ideas and solutions based on the type of job being undertaken, a particular disability, a type of product or a particular supplier. When you find a product or solution that interests you, the tool will link you to suppliers or services in your state or territory.

Communication Access
Assists people with disability to access and use technology.  This includes devices to enhance communication skills such as voice output devices, computer switches and alternative keyboards.  And to control electrical appliances such as television, stereo or lights using environment control systems.  Free service to residents of Southern Tasmania.

ILC
ILC (Independent Living Centre) Technology Access Service provides advice and information about available assistive technology to assist people with disabilities access computers, communication technology and environment access and design.  Advice is tailored to individual’s situation and needs. Free service to residents of North and North-West Tasmania.

Guide Dogs Tasmania
Guide Dogs Tasmania (RGDT) offers advice and assistance to people who are blind or have vision impairment.  This includes limited assessment regarding available technology that is suitable to individual needs, existing skills and goals.  They may be able to provide demonstrations and training in some of the magnification, speech and Braille products that can enhance computer abilities and independence at work and school environments.

Hearing Link provides assessment and information to people who are deaf or have hearing impairment.  This includes information about hearing loss, free hearing screenings, workplace assessments, and advice and demonstrations of technology and equipment.
